FROG WIFE risograph comic book

FROG WIFE began as a single, small acrylic painting, entitled “Frog Wife’s Bad Day”. Years later, when I was asked to create a multi-paneled piece for Roq La Rue’s “One Page” exhibit, I revisited the Frog Wife character and fleshed out a short, painted narrative (seen below in its entirety). I ended up liking the idea so much that I developed a full story for my second self-published risograph comic book. Below you can see the development of the cover and some shots of the final comic. There are also examples of finished black and white interior art. Some of the art (like the word balloons for instance) were done on a separate level to be printed in a secondary color, which is why they don’t appear on the main art.
